About Me
From quite an early age, I have been passionate about psychotherapy, quite frankly, long before I understood the concept of it. I was curious and quietly observant of the things happening to me and around me. Although I didn’t know what much of it meant, I sensed a potential for long term impact, and I understood the meaning of mental health before I knew the term. For a long time, because I desperately wanted to be understood, I ultimately found myself wanting to understand the world around me. Thus, my desire to give what I struggled to find at a young age paved the way to becoming a psychotherapist.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I’m also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), which has allowed me to expand my skills as an anxiety specialist. Having spent my adolescence and adulthood feeling certain about my future in psychotherapy, I was intentional about gaining knowledge in the field. My experience with nonprofit organizations centered on assessing needs through access to resources and exploring the various components that impact mental health.
I’m confident in my ability to serve and support you by meeting you where you’re at in your mental health journey. In creating an open and safe space where anxiety, reflection (and sometimes humor) can meet, I’m hopeful that together we can break down your existing barriers and find growth!
